The switch to an all natural gas trucking fleet country wide is still a long ways off. We all will be watching as they do the road tests and put these engines under the stress of the job so we can learn more on how they will perform under heavy loads and grades.
The economy is still a bit shaky we all can see that. The purchases of class 8 rigs is still anybody’s guess on how they will show for new truck orders. We know a lot of drivers are sticking with trucks that are paid for and not wanting to take on a new truck payment, so it is up in the air on how many trucks will be ordered this year. Fleets will be doing their orders soon if they have not already, so the numbers will be fluctuating for a while to come.
